We built this hotel and the surrounding facilities with the mission to provide a safe haven for travellers from all over the world during their trip to Taganga.

Room Facilities
Your room is equipped with Television, AC, Minibar, Private Bathroom, Private Balcony, Wardrobe, Writing Desk, and an Electric Kettle.
The Television is connected to the Internet. Feel free to access YouTube, cast your own contents from your devices or make use of the free Netflix account that we let at your disposal.
Please make sure to turn off the AC when leaving your room. We may shut it down remotely if we detect a misuse.
The Minibar and its cabinet contain drinks and foods whose prices are shown in the nearby price list. Feel free to consume what you wish; we will refill it daily and charge your consumptions to your bill. You may use the Minibar to store your own foods and drinks as long as they are properly sealed and fit the available space.
In the whole Colombian Caribbean Region, Tap Water is not safe to drink, even if boiled.
Free Wi-Fi is available in all our rooms and common areas. Contact the help desk to obtain the password.
In case you need extra Towels, Pillows, or Toiletries, please contact housekeeping.
If there are any issues with the room, please inform the front desk immediately, and we will do our best to resolve it promptly.

Restaurant
Our Restaurant, with its indoor and outdoor area, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our menu includes traditional Colombian dishes as well as European and International delicacies.
Breakfast is served every day from 7:30 AM till 11:00 AM. Lunch and Dinner can be ordered from 12:00 PM till 10:00 PM.
All meals are eligible for Room Service, please refer to the “Additional Services” section of this manual for further information.
Biergarten
Unwind to the sounds of Rock Music and Live Performances combined with the tranquil murmur of the nearby pool fountain at Baco’s Beer Garden, the signature bar of Ambos Mundos.
Here you will find a vast choice of Beer, Signature Cocktails and Soft Drinks. Pair your drink of choice with a delectable selection of Hamburgers, Pizzas, and Finger Food.
The Beer Garden is open every day from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Special Events such as Live Performances, Jam Sessions, Karaoke and Game Nights are organized on a recurring basis
Swimming Pool
Take a refreshing dip in our Swimming Pool, located in the inner courtyard next to the Bar.
The Pool is open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Children under the age of 12 may use the pool only under the supervision of a responsible adult.
Please take a shower before entering the pool to avoid altering its chemical balance

Free Street Parking
Free Street Parking for cars and motorcycles might be available right in front of our hotel’s main entrance.
As an alternative, special parking arrangements can be coordinated with nearby Guarded Parking Lots for an additional charge.
Please note that all vehicles are parked at the owner's risk. the hotel assumes no responsibility.
Hotel Policies
While staying in our hotel, please keep in mind the following rules:
Please leave your Room Keys at the reception when leaving the hotel premises. We will keep them safe for you.
Check-Out Time is at 11:00 AM. If you wish to extend your stay, please contact the front desk to arrange a Late Check-Out as described in the “Additional Services” section of this manual.
To prevent unauthorized access to the premises, between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM we have a Locked Doors Policy. If you need to enter or exit the premises during this time, please contact our help desk by telephone or WhatsApp
Please respect Quiet Hours from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas of the hotel. Designated smoking areas are the room balconies, the outdoor restaurant and the beer garden.
Pets are welcome in the hotel premises pending the management approval and depending on their size and good behaviour. We will do our best to accommodate your pet in your private balcony and to provide them with bowls for water and food. Owners will be held responsible for any damage or disturbance caused by their pets.
For Medical Assistance, contact the front desk, and we will arrange for a doctor to visit or guide you to the nearest medical facility.
Please make sure to turn off the AC and any other electronic devices when leaving your room. We may shut it down remotely if we detect a misuse.
Additional Services
Late Check-Out
We understand that sometimes plans can change, and you might need a bit more time to relax before departing. That is why we offer a Late Check-Out option for our guests, allowing you to extend your stay past the standard check-out time.
The following conditions apply:
- Late Check-Out is subject to Availability, as we need to ensure that we can prepare the room for any incoming guests.
- Please request a Late Check-Out at least Two Hours Before your scheduled departure time.
- Late Check-Out is subject an Additional Fee of COP 5.000 per hour.
- The Maximum Extension for Late Check-Out is until 4:00 PM, beyond which the full rate for an additional night will apply.
Laundry Service
We offer a convenient Laundry Service to ensure that you can enjoy fresh and clean garments during your trip.
- Please contact our housekeeping staff to arrange your desired Delivery and Collection Time, as well as any additional request that you may have regarding the care of your clothes.
- Our Laundry Service has a Price of COP 20,000 per washing machine load (about 15 Kg). For hygienic reasons, your garments will be washed in a Dedicated Washing Cycle, so a smaller load will not affect the price. Laundry Service charges will be added to your final bill upon check-out.
Room Service
We are delighted to offer you the convenience of our Room Service, providing delicious meals and beverages right to your door.
Here is everything you need to know about it:
- All the Menu Options of our restaurant and bar are eligible for Room Service. To check the menus, you can either scan the QR codes available on the Minibar pricing list or request a printed copy at our helpdesk.
- Room Service is available from 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM.
- A Service Charge of COP 5.000 per delivery will be charged to your final bill upon check-out.
- We strongly recommend not to leave any Food Remains and or Dirty Tableware in the room for long periods of time (e.g. overnight) as it might attract ants and other insects.
Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility
As part of our ongoing Commitment to Environmental Stewardship, we kindly ask for your assistance in minimizing your Carbon Footprint during your time with us.
Here are a few simple ways you can help us in this endeavour:
Cooperate in our Towel Reuse Program. If you plan to use your towels again during your stay, we invite you to place them back on the rack after use.
Water is a Priceless Commodity, especially in Taganga, where there is no running water supply. Please use it wisely.
Please switch off AC and other electric devices whenever you leave your room. By doing so, you not only help conserve energy but also play a vital role in minimizing our environmental footprint.
Refuse Single-Use Plastics. Say “No” to plastic straws and bags. Opt for reusable water bottles or containers instead of single-use plastic bottles. We offer discounted drinking water if you decide to refill your plastic bottle rather than buying a new one.
Dispose of Waste Responsibly inside and outside of the hotel, especially on the beach and in the woods. If you fail to find a garbage bin on your way to the hotel, do not hesitate to bring your waste to us and we will dispose of it accordingly.
Proper Disposal of Cigarette Butts is essential for maintaining cleanliness and preventing environmental pollution. Please refrain from flicking cigarette butts on the ground both in your balcony and in the bar. We will be glad to provide you with an ashtray upon request.

Taganga and Santa Marta are popular tourist destinations. While they have their share of petty crimes like pickpocketing and scams, violent crime is relatively rare.
Night Safety
As in any destination, it's essential to be cautious at night. Stick to well-lit and populated areas and avoid walking alone in unfamiliar or poorly lit streets, especially after dark.
Transportation
Use licensed taxis or reputable transportation services, especially at night. Avoid hitchhiking or accepting rides from strangers, as this can pose safety risks.
Valuables
Keep your belongings always secure. Avoid carrying large amounts of cash or displaying expensive items like jewellery or electronics.
Respect Local Customs

Stay hydrated, especially in hot weather. Use sunscreen to protect yourself from sunburn. Practice good hygiene to prevent illnesses. We are in a tropical region where mosquito-borne illnesses, like dengue fever, are common; use insect repellents and mosquito nets to avoid risks.

The main contact for general emergencies and reporting crimes in Colombia is 123 (Policía Nacional).

Useful Information
Currency
The currency of Colombia is the Colombian Peso, abbreviated as COP.
At the time of writing, the exchange rate is about 4,000 COP for 1 USD, however, it is always a good idea to check the current rate from a reliable source before making any currency exchanges or large financial transactions.
When exchanging large amounts, always check banknotes carefully, as money counterfeiting is quite common in Colombia.
ATM
Despite its small, Taganga does have a few ATMs available for visitors:
Bancolombia (one of the largest banks in Colombia, whose ATMs generally accept international card), Davivienda (another one of Colombia's leading financial institutions) and Servibanca (a network of ATMs that is associated with various banks).
All of them are in the proximity of the police department, right at the entrance of Taganga.
Pharmacy
There are a few pharmacies (Droguerías) in Taganga that are open 24 hours and offer in-store shopping as well as delivery.
Among them, we recommend the Droguería Inglesa and the Droguerías Universal, both located in the proximity of the police department, next to the entrance of Taganga.
We will readily assist you should you need any help in finding them and/or requesting a delivery to the hotel.
Supermarkets
The main supermarket in Taganga is D1, located on the southern part of the seaside.
D1 is a popular discount retail chain in Colombia, known for offering a variety of groceries, household items, and other goods at affordable prices.
In addition, there are several mini markets and corner stores (tiendas) scattered throughout the village
Public Transportation
Given Taganga's small size, its attractions and amenities are within walking distance, however you will need public transportation to reach Santa Marta.
- Buses run to and from Taganga between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM roughly every 7 minutes. You can buy the ticket on board by paying directly to the driver. At the time of writing, the ticket costs 2.500 COP per person.
- Taxis are readily available in Taganga and can be hailed on the street or arranged by us. While they are more expensive than buses, they offer a comfortable way to travel, especially if you are in a hurry or traveling with luggage. At the time of writing, a ride to the city centre costs about 15.000 COP, but make sure to agree the price beforehand to avoid any problem.
- Motorcycle Taxis, known as "Mototaxis" are a popular, although slightly adventurous mode of transportation for short trips within Taganga and to nearby areas. In Colombia, the use of helmets while riding motorcycles is not as widespread as it should be, so do not expect your driver to wear one or to have one available for you. At the time of writing, a ride to the city centre costs about 7.000 COP, but make sure to agree the price beforehand to avoid any problem
Airport
The airport serving Santa Marta is the Simón Bolívar International Airport (IATA code: SMR), which is located approximately 16 kilometres (10 miles) south of the city.
The airport serves as a hub for domestic flights within Colombia, with several airlines offering connections to major cities such as Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, and Cartagena.
While there are public buses that operate between the airport and Santa Marta's city centre, if you are going there from/to Taganga we strongly recommend by taxi or private transport to avoid delays. At the time of writing, a ride between Taganga and the Airport costs 50.700 COP, as stipulated by the municipality
Bus Terminal
The main bus terminal in Santa Marta is known as the Terminal de Transportes de Santa Marta and is situated along the Troncal del Caribe, the main highway of the coastal region.
The terminal serves as a major transportation hub connecting the city with destinations throughout Colombia. From here, you can find buses departing to major cities such as Bogotá, Medellín, Cartagena, Barranquilla, and many others.
At the time of writing, a ride between Taganga and the Bus Terminal costs 25.000 COP
